Sarah and Kelly,
Hi!!
Before I left Emerge, I knew I wanted to write an old-fashioned, hand-written thank you note. However, it turns out, that fitting the things I want to say into a cute little card is difficult. Something is still coming, but I thought it might be easier to send this version via email, especially if it supports any of the calling-in you are doing for the last spots of the fall cohort.
Emerge changed my life. The power of what happened there continues to reverberate through my system on the daily. The shifts I felt there, and continue to feel at home, feel like miracles.

Before Emerge, I was “doing everything right.” I was eating the most nutritious organic foods, taking lots of vitamins, distilling my water, going to the sauna and therapy every week, getting sleep, using my grounding pad, leaning into the best friendships, tuning into the app… the list goes on. But I still felt flat, disconnected, not able to drop into meditation or my intuition, and I knew I could feel so much better than I did. I just couldn’t access it. And that was super frustrating. I also knew that I didn’t have the capacity to add more wellness techniques to my schedule, especially if it wasn’t giving me results.
At Emerge, I was held on every level. I had almost every stressor removed from my life for 3 days. This gave me the space to have an ancient remembering of who I am, and how we used to be in ceremony and community together. I’ve attended many online ceremonies, and yet, the first time I walked into temple, I sobbed. A remembering is the best way to describe it, and beyond that, it’s indescribable in the best way. The experience saved my quality of life. Not to mention, as a woman who grew up with disordered eating and body image struggles, being able to skinny dip multiple times a day with complete strangers and no judgement, was an entire healing experience on it’s own.

Since coming home, I:
- have gotten the longest, most genuine hugs from my kids
- I feel so much more peace and space in my body and heart
- People have said to me, “What happened to you?” “You look different” “You look so great.” “I didn’t even recognize you!” (and that one was from my best friend!)
- I finally have a sacred start. Sarah, I know. You’ve been telling us this for a loooong time. I had a lot of resistance and I jokingly told myself “Sleep. Sleep is my sacred start.” But I haven’t missed a single day since coming home. I get 30 minutes minimum every day, and it has changed my life. I can’t imagine not doing it, now.
When I first arrived at Emerge, I admitted that I was fangirling a bit over meeting both of you, and I wasn’t kidding. You both have no idea what your online presence has meant to me over the years. You’ve been in my living room with me in the middle of the night, while my kids have slept on my lap, while we navigated divorce. You’ve been on calls with me right before getting rushed to the hospital for miscarriage complications. You’ve talked about the body in a way that felt like someone out there finally understood. You’ve been with me in the car, listening to the Bridge- a life line as I gathered the courage to leave a terrible relationship. So meeting you, finally, in person, truly meant the world.

In addition-
Sarah- thank you for whatever you did for me during the annointing. Life changing. Thank you.
Kelly- thank you for the rose petals. The rose has had meaning dear to my heart for years, and you giving them to me meant more than just having petals to hold during ceremony.
Kelly, you teasingly joked that after getting to know you both that the “fan” stage would end. Getting to know both of you just solidified that I’m looking up to and across the room/screen at the right people.
Also, the entire team is incredible. I hesitate to list names because I know I won’t capture them all. Yet, I really want to name a few. Catherine really held me from the second my Uber pulled in the driveway. Amber created the most beautiful space. Sam was the steady beat in the kitchen, my home has never smelled so good because of Diana… and the list goes on and on.
Please share my gratitude and love with the team however you see fit. Also, I promised Ashlee feedback, and I want to make sure she knows I’m keeping my word. 🙂
Thank you, thank you.
With so much love,
Jamie
