Motherhood was all-consuming, and as the logistics of daily life piled up, I watched parts of myself slowly disappear.
By the time my second child arrived, I was deep in survival mode. Laundry, dishes, errands, work. I loved my family, but I was not happy, and I felt guilty admitting that to myself. I started noticing how many women around me felt the same way. We had built full lives, yet something essential felt missing.
Where was the joy? The adventure? The sense of being fully alive?
Back to Me was born from that season. These were the practices that helped me reconnect with myself and begin building a life that actually felt like mine again.
I had just had my third baby and returned from maternity leave to an executive-level role. I was traveling constantly, nursing my babies between meetings on Capitol Hill, doing everything I had worked toward for years.
And I felt like a shell of myself.
I was exhausted, disconnected, and quietly questioning the life I had built. I remember thinking, “Is this really it?” I had achieved what I thought I wanted, but I no longer felt like I was in choice.
At that point, I was spiritually curious but mostly consuming information. Books, webinars, ideas. Back to Me was the first time I actually practiced something consistently, and that changed everything. It helped me recognize that I did not need to keep letting my schedule or circumstances dictate my life.
What began as a small reset became the beginning of a much larger shift. A career change. A reorientation around agency. A gradual process of rebuilding my life in a way that felt honest and sustainable.
